1. xAI Batch API Expands to Support Image and Video Generation

xAI. xAI expanded its Batch API to support image generation, image editing, and video generation in addition to chat completions, with both server-side tools and client-side function tools now supported in batch requests. Developers can create batches by uploading a JSONL file via the Files API, supporting all batch endpoints including chat, image, and video in a single file. Image and video URLs in batch results expire after one hour, and xAI noted that enterprise customers can now purchase dedicated API capacity with guaranteed tokens per minute for higher-throughput use cases.
