1. Suspect Arrested After Molotov Cocktail Attack on Sam Altman’s Home

OpenAI. A 20-year-old man, Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Gama, was arrested after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s San Francisco home at approximately 3:45 a.m. on April 11, damaging an external gate. The suspect then fled to OpenAI’s headquarters and threatened to burn the building down before being apprehended; no one was injured. He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, criminal threats, and possession of a destructive device. Altman published a blog post the same day responding to both the attack and a New Yorker investigation by Ronan Farrow and Andrew Marantz that interviewed over 100 sources and accessed internal OpenAI documents.
