1. Microsoft Removes Copilot Chat from Office Apps for Unlicensed Users Starting April 15

Microsoft. Starting April 15, Microsoft is removing Copilot Chat access from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote for users without a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Unlicensed users will be reclassified as “Copilot Chat (Basic)” with access only through the standalone Microsoft 365 Copilot app. Outlook Copilot remains available.
