NVIDIA AI Updates: April 9, 2026
1. NVIDIA Modularizes Omniverse into Standalone Libraries for Physical AI Integration
NVIDIA. NVIDIA announced a modular, library-based architecture for Omniverse, exposing core components — ovrtx (rendering), ovphysx (physics simulation), and ovstorage (data pipelines) — as standalone C APIs with Python bindings. These headless-first libraries let developers integrate physical AI capabilities such as synthetic data generation, sensor simulation, and physics-based robotics training into existing applications without adopting the full Omniverse platform. The libraries are available in early access on GitHub and NGC, with production releases planned for later in 2026. Source
