Meta. Meta’s Superintelligence Labs (MSL) is assembling a dedicated hardware team, hiring Rui Xu from the recently acqui-hired AI startup Dreamer to lead the effort. Xu previously held hardware and operations roles at K-Scale, ByteDance, Xiaomi, and Lenovo. The move signals that MSL’s ambitions now extend beyond models into physical AI devices, aligning with Zuckerberg’s vision of AI-powered smart glasses as the primary computing platform for delivering personal superintelligence.
