App privacy policy

This policy covers the my2cents.ai app for Android and iPhone. Last updated November 2, 2026.

What the app collects

Nothing that identifies you. The app has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising, and it never collects your advertising ID.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which parts of the app are useful, the app sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens you open, which posts you open or listen to, when you follow or unfollow a company, whether you opened an alert, and settings such as language and theme. With them come the app version, device model, Android version and an approximate country derived from your connection. Events are tied to a random app-instance ID that is not linked to you and is replaced if you reinstall the app. Nothing is used for advertising.

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app sends nothing until you agree, either during setup or when it asks you once. Elsewhere it's on by default. Either way you can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage stats; the app then stops sending events.

Your preferences

The companies you follow, your alert switches and your language choice are stored only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Notifications

Alerts are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase gives your device a random push token, and the app subscribes that token to topics named after your choices, such as news-anthropic or reviews-en. my2cents.ai never receives or stores your token. Google's handling of push tokens is described in the Firebase privacy information.
